Crush · A reading of the signals
Do They Like You?
You have reread the thread more than once, and it still reads both ways — so instead of guessing what they feel, this looks at what they actually do, and sorts it into the signals that tend to mean something and the ones that tend to mean nothing.
What this looks at
- How contact happens between you: who starts it, and how replies usually go.
- The effort and attention they show, and whether any of it is coming back your way.
- The cues that separate interest from ordinary friendliness.
This reading is an interpretation of the behavior you describe — not a fact about how anyone feels, and not advice. What that means.

How this reading works
This reading looks at what they actually do, not at how you feel about them. Your answers cover four kinds of signal: how contact happens between you, who starts it and how replies go; whether they reach for more of your time; effort that costs something, like remembering what you said or making time; and the cues that separate interest from ordinary friendliness. Two more answers add context: how long this has been going on, and whether their side has been steady. Clear signals of interest means several of those kinds point the same warm way. Mixed signals means real warmth sits beside real gaps. Signals still forming means there is not enough here yet to read. Quiet signals means most of what you noticed looks like general friendliness. What it cannot settle is whether warmth is meant for you or is simply how this person is with everyone. This reading works from what you tell it: it looks for patterns in your answers, it cannot see anything you did not describe, it does not know what anyone else is thinking, and it does not predict what happens next.
Questions people ask
Does this work whether it's a he, a she or they?
Yes, identically — same twelve questions, same reading. They ask about replies, plans, attention and what has been said out loud, and none of that changes with who either of you is. However you searched for this, whether you asked about a he, a she or a they, this is the one page that answers it.
Is this accurate?
It is as accurate as what you have noticed, because what you have noticed is all it has. It reads the behavior you describe and says what that shape often goes with. The thing it cannot see is the difference between warmth that is meant for you and warmth this person shows everyone — that is the exact distinction the questions circle, and no set of answers settles it completely. A reading taken in a month, after more has happened between you, may look different, and that is the point of reading behavior rather than a feeling.
Is this a quiz or a calculator?
Neither, in the usual sense. There is no right answer to any of the twelve questions, no score, no percentage and no grade. It sorts what you described into one reading of the signals and gives you one small step you could take this week. "Not sure" and "it hasn't come up" are honest answers here and are read as honest answers, not as blanks.
Is it private?
No answer you tap leaves your device. The reading is worked out there, nothing about you or about them is stored, and no name, message or screenshot is ever asked for. If you share the result, the card carries the calculator name and the reading name only — never an answer, and nothing about the person you were thinking of.
What if we only talk over messages?
Every question can be answered that way: who starts, how replies go, whether things you said come back, whether plans get a day attached, and what has been said openly all happen in a thread. The one thing a messages-only connection hides is the comparison behind the friendliness question — how they treat you with other people around — and "you two are hardly ever around other people" is written as a real answer for exactly that reason. The reading says when the setting is hiding something rather than guessing at what it hides.
